The First Step in Eternity

Researching this site for material for a
radio program gave me a fair indication
how many view this "last taboo". As a
child whenever a funeral cortege passed,
I'd chant "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if the Lord don't
get ya, the Devil must!" Humorous?
(hardly), but there's an underlying
truth there. After years of researching
the subject of an after-life, I've come
to the conclusion it's a stark reality.
Therefore I wanted to be prepared for it.
I found the best coverage in the Judeo-
Christian Bible on life, death and the
future life. Jesus said: "I tell you the
truth, he who believes has everlasting
life. So for me, though I do not welcome
the thought of the actual dying, Death
itself is the first step I will take
into Eternity.
