Uncertainty
by Catherine Dunkerley, NSW
Trade Commissioner, Aged 27
When I think about death and 'what happens after', I often feel envious of those who think they have the answer. Religion for many people guides the way they live their life and determines what happens when they die.
Growing up in a family who believed in christian values but not necessarily in the greater Christian Religion, I dont feel I have 'the answer', or any answer for that fact. I feel uncertainty as to what will happen when I 'shuffle of the mortal coil'. I would like to think that there is a part of me that will contribute to a greater spirital pool that will have a positive influence in the future. Hopefully...
I think in general people are not afraid of dying. There seems to be a greater fear of the pain that might be experienced in the process and the key life moments that would be missed.
